Contrasting numbers:
- At a company I chair: One position – Office Junior. 71 applicants (including many with degrees in architecture, media studies etc.). 67 counted out, one employed.
- A stat I read today: 1 in 4 Gen Y job offers turned down by applicant due to inadequate cell phone offer.
Conclusion – Snowflake and mates are slowly but surely squeezing the life out of the western economy and their own lives with it…. Gen Y is, rightly, close to the end of the alphabet.
